Magnetoresistance of metallic perovskite oxide LaNiO3−δ

چکیده
We report a study of the magnetoresistance (MR) of the metallic perovskite oxide LaNiO3−δ as a function of the oxygen stoichiometry δ (δ ≤ 0.14), magnetic field ( H ≤ 6T ) and temperature (1.5K ≤ T ≤ 25K). We find a strong dependence of the nature of MR on the oxygen stoichiometry. The MR at low temperatures change from positive to negative as the sample becomes more oxygen deficient ( i.e, δ increases). Some of the samples which are more resistive, show a resistivity minima at Tmin ≈ 20K. We find that in these samples the MR is positive at T ¿ Tmin and negative for T ¡ Tmin. We conclude that in the absence of strong magnetic interaction, the negative MR in these oxides can arise from weak localisation effects. Magnetoresistance in ordered and disordered double perovskite oxide, Sr2FeMoO6
We have prepared crystallographically ordered and disorder specimens of the double perovskite, Sr2FeMoO6 and investigated their magnetoresistance behaviour. The extent of ordering between the Fe and Mo sites in the two samples is determined by Rietveld analysis of powder x-ray diffraction patterns and reconfirmed by Mössbauer studies. While the ordered sample exhibits the sharp low-field respon...
متن کاملPolarity compensation in ultra-thin films of complex oxides: The case of a perovskite nickelate
We address the fundamental issue of growth of perovskite ultra-thin films under the condition of a strong polar mismatch at the heterointerface exemplified by the growth of a correlated metal LaNiO3 on the band insulator SrTiO3 along the pseudo cubic [111] direction. While in general the metallic LaNiO3 film can effectively screen this polarity mismatch, we establish that in the ultra-thin limi...
متن کاملIntergranular giant magnetoresistance in a spontaneously phase separated perovskite oxide.
We present small-angle neutron scattering data proving that, on the insulating side of the metal-insulator transition, the doped perovskite cobaltite La(1-x)Sr(x)CoO(3) phase separates into ferromagnetic metallic clusters embedded in a nonferromagnetic matrix. This induces a hysteretic magnetoresistance, with temperature and field dependence characteristic of intergranular giant magnetoresistan...

In this study, Thermal expansion coefficient (TEC) variation of Ln0.6Sr0.4Co0.2M0.8O3−δ (Ln=La,Nd,Sm and M= Fe,Ni,Mn) perovskite oxide have been evalouated. Different compounds have been prepared and thermal expansion coefficient have been meseaured in different temperature by means of dilatometer analysis. Structural parameters of compounds have been determined by X-ray diffraction and Field ...

We have fabricated perovskite superlattices consisting of two ferromagnetic metallic oxides: La0.67Ca0.33MnO3 ~LCMO! and SrRuO3 ~SRO!. We have investigated the magnetotransport and magnetic properties of a series of samples, in which the layer thickness of LCMO is fixed and that of SRO varied from 0 to 20 unit cells. The magnetoresistance ratio in a superlattice can be increased by a factor of ...
